Timber harvested in 100% in PGL Lasy Państwowe (Poland).
Poles manufactured to quality standard : Britisch Standard 1990 (Overhead Lines), and in accordance with EN 14229: 2010.
Pressure impregnation of the columns is carried out by applying - Korasit KS2 - a chromium-free, copper-based, light green/yellowish formulation.

Installation: Embed the pole in the ground to a minimum depth of 130cm.
It is recommended to additionally stabilise the column by concreting it, in which case the embedment depth is 100cm.

Durability of columns: up to 80 years in concreting and up to 50 years when embedded in the ground without concreting.

Application: Construction of overhead telecommunication lines and power lines

Resilience:
The following inspection results have been confirmed for 7m Lightweight Timber Poles sized to BS 1990 in terms of their strength. Inspection Report U497/BDZ of the Institute of Wood Technology.
Average characteristic flexural strength fm = 44 - 55 N/mm2
Characteristic modulus of elasticity with an average value of Em = 8 - 11,000 N/mm2
The above values refer to a 7m top load of 2000N (=200 kg)
Free length/lever arm = 7m - 1.5m = 5.50m.
